the prompt that i had to work with was “wild at heart”

 -At the very center of all boyhood is the fierce desire to be a great conqueror, and to run wildly – unhindered. To muse the imagination as that of a warrior: he explores his bedroom as a wilderness, views the carpool trek towards school as a voyage on the high seas, and faces legendary ‘foam-sword’ duels in the backyard with his mates. This is the stuff they are made of. Yet, often times, I catch myself in the the trap of “slow down, don’t stand on the sofa, quiet down, don’t be so rough…” If only my perspective wasn’t skewed by the reality of adulthood. Then, I could better see the world the way they do, as a necessary conquest to be both savored and won. Then quite possibly, I would respond to their play as real work like John Eldridge, author of Wild at Heart, with a “resounding yes. be fierce, be wild be passionate.”

well- i attempted the wedding thing twice- and discovered ‘that hat’ just wasn’t for me

seniors- i’ve only done 2 other senior sessions.

so…. i’ve decided-

weddings- NO

seniors- YES

i know, i’m terribly behind on blogging- i have had 4 newborns this week: and those come ahead of all other editing. i guarantee newborn images in 7 days, so parents can order birth announcements.

so for  now: my days are filled with adorable little bundles of joys – i’ll catch up on everything else… one day
